The aim of the WEEE Directive?
The aim is to reduce the amount of electrical waste going to landfill sites and encourage recycling. In December 2006 the UK Parliament approved the legislation and the directive came into full force in July 2007.
Who’s affected by the new WEEE Regulations?
Business users, manufacturers and retailers are responsible for ensuring their goods do not end up in the landfill sites (or are incinerated).
